What feels best will vary for every individual. You don't have to avoid all exercise, but reduce what triggers the pain until the body builds more strength and resilience, and you can usually return to that exercise later.
For some, the pain is triggered by single-leg exercises, for others by jumping or running. For some, walking and everyday positions, such as standing and hanging on one hip, cause the most pain.

Once the restriction period is over, the aim is to gradually accustom the body to more and heavier movements. The program then guides you Stronger Mom program will guide you safely onwards.
