Our Story
In the summer of 2021, sports reporter and fitness influencer Isabel Boltenstern became pregnant for the first time, but joint pain made her daily life unbearable. She searched high and low for information about what was wrong, and ended up on misleading internet forums and consulting a midwife with no knowledge of exercise.
The solution came in the form of an Instagram account run by Carolina Jozic, a physical therapist from Eskilstuna who wanted to help more people than just her patients at the clinic in her free time. She shared information and exercise tips about pregnancy-related discomforts in an easy-to-understand way!
After three months of friendship, the girls decided to help more people: information about exercising during and after pregnancy was available, but it wasn’t reaching enough people. A change was needed, and that change became the app Mammaträning.
Now, five years later, the team has grown. Some of Sweden’s leading physical therapists and personal trainers are sharing their expertise with the goal of helping women understand and train their bodies to become pain-free and build the stamina they need for everyday life!
