Digital two-day course that provides a broad and in-depth knowledge of the pelvic floor, birth injuries and various pain conditions with a clear connection to practical care.
We go through different pelvic floor dysfunctions and how we think about examination, treatment and training for each problem.

The Course Includes

Day 1 - Pelvic Floor and Exercise
- In-depth anatomy and physiology of the pelvic floor
- The vaginal birth
- Pelvic floor exercises and relaxation
- Pelvic floor injuries
- Prolapse and bulging vaginal walls
- Rehab/training after prolapse and pelvic floor surgery
- Exercise for pelvic floor dysfunction
- Pelvic floor examination
Day 2 - Bladder, Bowel and Pain Conditions
- Bladder dysfunction - urinary incontinence, bladder emptying difficulties
- Bowel dysfunction - anal incontinence, bowel emptying difficulties
- Patient cases
- Vulvodynia and vaginismus
- Tensed pelvic floor
- Coccyx pain
- Endometriosis and exercise
- Pain during intercourse

Who is the Course for?
The course is designed for professionals working with women of all ages. We train physiotherapists, midwives, personal trainers and other health professionals.
Prior knowledge
For participation in this advanced course, it is recommended that you have basic knowledge of women's health or have attended our course Pregnancy and Postpartum.
It is also beneficial for you as a participant to have met this patient/client group before in your work to be able to absorb as much of the course content as possible.

Your Teachers
Physiotherapists Carolina Jozic and Viveka Österholm have expertise in pelvic floor injuries, pelvic floor problems and pregnancy-related disorders. Both have extensive experience of clinical work, and have for several years trained everything from healthcare professionals to personal trainers.
Carolina has a strong focus on biomechanics and exercise, while Viveka is particularly knowledgeable about surgery, bowel and bladder problems.
